On October 29, 2024, the Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA) held the international conference \u201cJapan in View 2024\u201d at Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills to promote the development of the video and streaming industries across the Asia-Pacific region. CODA also participated in the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJapan in View 2024\u201d featured 12 talk sessions and presentations focusing on the latest developments in Japan’s content industry. Topics included the current state of Japan’s media landscape, the challenges and opportunities faced by television broadcasting and video streaming, international business opportunities in the digital era, and the importance of intellectual property protection and anti-piracy efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing CODA, Deputy Senior Director of International Affairs, Tatsuya Otsuka, and Deputy Senior Director of Domestic Affairs, Shun Takagi, took part in a talk session titled \u201cWinning the Battle Against Piracy.\u201d The session provided insights into trends in intellectual property infringement in the digital and online era, discussed the challenges of combating piracy, and explored various strategies for success. Key points included the importance of collaborative enforcement among rightsholders, international cooperation, and awareness-raising efforts targeting younger audiences.
This activity was part of a project entrusted from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
