From May 1, 2025, CODA participated in the \u201cWorld Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES 2025),\u201d a major international event for the media and entertainment industry, held over four days at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai. CODA was invited by India\u2019s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWAVES 2025\u201d is an event organized to promote synergy and development across India\u2019s media and entertainment sectors, including film, television, publishing, music, radio, animation, gaming, advertising, and social media. Industry professionals and experts from around the world gathered to share knowledge and exchange views for the future. The event featured a wide range of conferences, sessions, exhibitions, and workshops on various themes related to the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 3, a panel discussion titled \u201cInternational rights holders\u2019 perspectives on content protection strategies and synergies\u201d was held, and Tatsuya Otsuka, CODA\u2019s Deputy Senior Director of International Affairs, participated in the discussion as a panelist.
Moderated by Mr. Mok Ho Fai, Vice President, Content Protection Legal, Asia Pacific, Motion Picture Association (MPA) and Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), the discussion addressed the challenges in content protection and anti-piracy measures in the digital and online era. Participants exchanged valuable insights on topics such as collaborative enforcement efforts among rightsholders and the need for global cooperation in combating piracy.\u3000<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CODA will continue to work across borders in partnership with relevant organizations and institutions, bringing together collective expertise to advance content protection initiatives.
This activity was part of a project entrusted from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
