On July 19, 2025, a reception hosted by Ambassador to China Mr. Kenji Kanasugi was held at the reception hall of the Ambassador\u2019s residence at the Embassy of Japan in China, welcoming the \u201cJapan Anime, Publishing, and Film Delegation to China,\u201d who were visiting Beijing. At the event, CODA Beijing Office Chief Representative Zhu Genquan delivered a speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This delegation consisted of approximately 30 executives and representatives from companies and organizations representing Japan\u2019s anime, publishing, and film industries. Organized by the Japan-China Cultural Exchange Association, the delegation\u2019s goal was to deepen exchange, mutual understanding, and cooperative relationships within the content industries of both Japan and China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the reception, Chief Representative Zhu Genquan gave a presentation on CODA Beijing Office\u2019s anti-piracy initiatives in China, the current state and challenges of Japanese IP in the rapidly growing global character goods market, and business opportunities for Japanese content in the Chinese market. He also discussed the potential for Japan-China collaboration through the synergistic effects of promoting the distribution of legitimate content and protecting intellectual property rights.
The reception was also attended by key figures from Chinese content-related companies and organizations, resulting in lively exchanges of opinions and information between both sides, making it a highly meaningful occasion.
It is hoped that this exchange will serve as a catalyst for deepening cultural understanding and strengthening cooperation in the content industries between Japan and China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
