\u3000On November 27, 2025, Contents Overseas Distribution Association\uff08CODA\uff09 signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Anti-Video Piracy Cell of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) of India aimed at countermeasures for online copyright violations by strengthening protections for intellectual property. On the same day, CODA conducted a signing ceremony at TFCC headquarters.
\u3000Prior to the ceremony, members of CODA and TFCC visited Deputy Chief Minister (DCM) of Telangana Shri Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and briefed him on the details of CODA\u2019s visit to India, the growing popularity of Japanese content in India, and the objectives of the proposed MOU with the TFCC. The DCM welcomed the proposal and assured both parties of the Telangana State Government\u2019s committed support for this initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u3000With the signing of this MOU, both CODA and TFCC will make use of their expertise, experience, and preexisting networks to promote information sharing and cooperation aimed at strengthening protection of intellectual property rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u3000The TFCC is an industry organization that brings together Telugu language film producers and related business operators in the Southeastern Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In recent years, the Telugu film industry has been rapidly growing and TFCC has been actively working on anti-piracy measures within India, as well as cooperating in the take-down of notorious movie piracy sites.
\u3000In light of rising interest in Japanese content in India, CODA conducted a visit to Mumbai in April 2024. In addition, during the 2024 fiscal year, CODA carried out an investigation on online copyright violation of anime in India and shared the results with its member companies. Furthermore, in May 2025, CODA participated in the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES 2025) upon invitation from the Indian Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and took part in a panel discussion on protecting content and anti-piracy measures in the digital\/online era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u3000Going forward, CODA will continue to deepen its cooperative relationship with TFCC while striving to combat international online violations and protect content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
