On July 16, 2026, CODA visited the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Taiwan’s National Police Agency, Ministry of the Interior, in Taipei, where it presented plaques of appreciation to the CIB and its Intellectual Property Rights Investigation Corps (IPRIC) in recognition of the investigations and enforcement actions conducted to date against intellectual property infringement cases involving Japanese content.
CODA has long worked closely with the IPRIC under the command of the CIB and has received its continued cooperation in investigations and enforcement actions against online intellectual property infringement cases, including illicit streaming devices (ISDs), illicit applications, and infringing websites. Through this cooperation, numerous enforcement actions have been carried out, contributing to the protection of intellectual property rights for Japanese content in Taiwan.
During this visit, CODA held a meeting with Deputy Commissioner Hsiao Chin-Chieh of the CIB, where CODA once again expressed its appreciation for the CIB’s extensive and continuous enforcement activities and the results achieved to date, and exchanged views on further strengthening cooperation going forward.
CODA also met with Commander Yang Shih Yu of the IPRIC, to express its gratitude for the Corps’ proactive and effective investigations and enforcement activities at the operational level and confirmed their commitment to further deepening their cooperative relationship.
